adware virus removal

i have an adware virus,anything i click on opens a new page with stupid ads & each page that opens amillion ads pop up.ive tried housecall,avg & malware bytes to remove but nothing has worked.any help would be greatly appreciated,its become quite annoying & id rather not have to reformat if i can help it.

i wrote a few similar topics on helpdesk before so i m just gonna copy paste one of it , see if it helps you basicly those adware works in a simple way , 1 executable runs at the start up which controls browser plugins and such and re-create if they are deleted.

download and use this , more advanced task manager than the one built in windows. also no installation required. after you open this(run as admin) , look at the applications executed under your user which are below at bottom (blue colored) , there you will see an unusual exe running , look at its path by hovering mouse on it , then kill that process tree and go delete it at the location u looked previously. this will take care of your problem in most cases , anti-spyware softwares can handle the rest through clearing its remnants.
