Replace your Windows Hosts file with this one:
http://www.mediafire.com/?irvp5xd6pf7136q
The Windows hosts file can be found at:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
In case you’re curious, the contents of that hosts file are:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com

I’ve patched the host file already.
I tried it just in case but it doesn’t work. Still trys to connect.

Have you tried using the one i posted above? If not, try it out first.
If that still doesn’t work, you may have to prevent the program from accessing the internet in your firewall.
For some reason when windows installed on this PC it installed into the folder H not C as normal. Would this have anything to do with it ?
So my host file is at
H:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
