A few questions regarding Android.

August 7th, 2013

I’m completely new to Android as I have just bought my first Android phone and my knowledge is very limited. I’m looking to get any kind of information regarding cracked apps and games. I have no idea where to find them or how to install them or if there is more than one option but I do know that it can be done. Thanks!

for free apps, goto
http://androidwarez.blogspot.com/
for rooting/cracking your device, goto XDA, find your device and read around there.

as to installing.
1) Download the apk’s from the 1st site.
2) copy to sdcard/memory card
3) on your device use a file explorer and click on the apk.
4) install and it should be in your menu.

Thanks for replying vj_dustin. That’s what I was looking for, a simple straight-forward answer but as I said I’m fairly new to Android and I didn’t quite understand what you meant by “cracking your device”. What happens when you crack your device and why is it needed? Thanks again.
Answer #3
a good way to install the apk’s is download ‘appinstaller’ from the android market, then go into the app and navigate to where your put the apk on your sd card.
as for cracking, its more commonly known as ‘rooting’. all it does is provide root access to your device allowing you to change to custom firmwares, unlock your phone, remove carrier branding. some apps on the market do require a root.
to play downloaded games you do not need a rooted device.
check out this page,

its where ive download custom firmwares from, and it has a step by step guide to root almost any android phone

Thanks a lot for replying abu.subzero21. That pretty much answered my questions. So to install cracked apps and games there’s no need to root my phone, right?

I specifically asked for cracked apps and games so I won’t have to pay for them. It’s a Warez forum after all but thanks for replying anyway.

no problem mate, and yes you are correct, you do NOT need a root to play cracked apps.

NO you dont have to..
Also whatever game you decide to play, first visit the android market and check if that game/app is compatible with your device or not..
btw whats your device??
Answer #8
I would not worry that much about rooting my phone, especially if you are unsure what you are doing, as you could brick your phone, and possibly void your warranty.
Best way to install apps/games is to download them from this site, or any other you chose and then save the .apk file to your memory card, then download Es File Explorer (which is free from the market) and install them from there.
That’s the best way to do it especially since you are new

Thanks for the advice vj_dustin. I didn’t know that the apps and games aren’t compatible with every device. I thought that you only need to check that it’s compatible with the version of operating system you have installed. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830.

Yes I think that rooting my phone isn’t really necessary as I just want to be able to download cracked apps and games. That looks like quite an easy process. Thanks mate.

hmm..
Ace has a nice processor, but is low on RAM..
though since you have just bought it, play with it around..
but after a month or so, visit XDA and check on your ACE forum..
what all you experience before that, will be like 5% of what really android is..
& dont be scared of rooting, custom roms etc..
I rooted my Optimus one on the 3rd day of buying it

You dont have to root your Phone to install any cracked programs. Copy the cracked programs to the sd card and check mark the option for installation of non-Market applications from Unknown Sources.
Answer #13
well actually, it’s a good idea to root your phone, and here’s why.
yes, it’s true that you don’t need to root your phone for SOME apps (cracked or not) and others needs your phone to be rooted.
This is my explanation of rooting:
rooting, like someone mentioned above, is just a way of gaining root access to your phone, which is turned off by default by phone manufacturers. Android itself is based on linux, hence it’s called ‘rooting’ and getting root access to your phone, is like logging in as root or typing in sudo before a command, in a linux based environment.
Don’t freak out though, Android is very user friendly and you don’t need to know any linux to make the most of it. Gaining root access to an Android phone, is like jailbreaking an iPhone, but it’s not illegal.
As I was saying before some apps need root access to work, apps such as root tools and juice defender, both are awesome apps and really bolster the android experience vs the iOS experience.
Root tools for instance, helps gain access to some settings you don’t normally get, such as changing the colour of the LED (the one that flashes for messaging and notifications) as well as many others.
Juice Defender is a smart app that increases the phones battery life, drastically.
You can also install custom roms on a rooted phone, custom roms are custom versions of the software that manufacturers put on a phone to make android look nice. These custom roms have better functionality, versatility and able to be customized further.
There are many other apps that need root access, but most don’t.
If you have a phone that is easily rooted, (and most roots can be reversed) then it’s something to try, at least, just to experience.

Actually it IS illegal, anything that voids ur warranty obviously is.
But it isnt such a big deal, coz anyone with a droid roots his/her phone the next day he/she gets it
Its a, i’d say COMPULSION..
You cant do anything else than using your phone like n ordinary phone for calling, texting, playing, music etc, unless you root..
The whole point of Android development begins from ROOT..
so GOT ROOT?
Answer #15
Thank you all for your replies I really appreciate your help, although I must say that I’m a bit confused regarding whether I should root my Android or not as all I want to do is install apps and games on it and I don’t know what else would I be able to do or get after rooting. Btw, sorry for the late reply guys.
Answer #16
u will never realize the importance of root unless u do it.
Block ads, freeze/uninstall apps/bloatware, change system sounds, bootanimations blah blah, the list goes on..!!
Answer #17
I should give it a try then! Thanks mate!
