Wondering why you are looking for a free antivirus solution when you are at a warez board ?
Answer #4

Answer #5
Supposedly, the lightest antivirus is NOD32.
I’m surprised people mentioned Microsoft and Avast before NOD32.
From what I’ve heard:
– Microsoft uses a minimum of about 65 MB RAM (on Vista or 7)
– NOD 5 uses about 10-15 MB RAM
Answer #6
Avira – on windows 7 less than 12 MB.
But you are here, on warez, use some full version of antivirus, i use kaspersky and he is better than some free antivirus program.
Answer #7
ESET or Prevx

Probably because NOD32 is a load of crap

I don’t agree. As far as free antivirus software go, AVAST would be very good choice. But if you are into paying (or downloading from WBB ) NOD32 and Kaspersky all the way! Of coruse, NOD32 will use minimum of your resources, it is a really good antivirus software. I read few comments that say NOD32 is crap, well everything is crap if you dont use common sense when surfing the net, then nothing will help you. But really, I’ve used Kaspersky (in my opionion the best) and switched to NOD32 because NOD32 is better on resources, and I havent had any problems with it…

Not for nothing, an antivirus that’s light isn’t going to catch jack. I’ve been using Kaspersky Internet Security since I got hit with a virus years ago that erased my entire hard drive (it made a grown man cry). I had Norton then and it didn’t catch ~love~. Ever since I used KIS, I haven’t had a virus, trojan horse, whatever, not one. It catches most anything it’s thrown at (as long as you update the virus definitions at least once a week). I love KIS.
