Best external harddrive for £50

You wont find anything good for that kind of money right now. The prices have skyrocketed.

Throw in another £40-£60 and u can pick up 1tb-2tb external hardrive
Brands that are good IMO. Iomega/freecom/western digital
Do u hav staples or pc world or currys or John lewis store near u
If yes go browse around and compare prices and external hardrives

Flooding in Thailand has caused problems with mechanical drives as they have closed the factories, and also similar problems in Taiwan, which is affecting electronic components (and hybrid drives that I need desperately, lol).
*EDIT – this may take some sting out of the rise in prices…

A friend of mine actually needed a couple of 1TB hdd’s, and he ended up buying 2 refurbished Optiplex systems from E-bay as they had brand new hdds in and worked out cheaper, lol.
