Firefox v chrome

October 28th, 2013

So Firefox was being a memory hog, as usual, and started slowing down so i opened up the same tabs in chrome and opened task manager,
Firefox – 311,488 k
Chrome – 60,016 k;
38,500 k;
27,004 k;
17,824 k;
14,944 k;
11,380 k;
6,840 k;
5,988k.
chrome total –> 177,106 k
so chrome is using less than FF, but why does it split all the memory usage

Answer #1
Different processes. If one tab crashes the rest work normally.
