Win XP/Win7 Help

Alright, My old mans dvd drive has screwed out – its brand new but dosnt work for some reason, so ~ censored ~ ima take off xp and put win7 on, might pick it up propley.
Has anyone got a non-rapidshare version of windows 7, new release? If anyone could help i would be very appreated.

Maybe you bought a friday drive. Take it back to where you got it. It shud have some sort of warrenty

yeah the bios see’s it and everything.. weird i know.
ill download this overnight, and see if it boots win7 – if it does its a xp problem, if it dosnt i know the drive is ~ censored ~.

So long as the computer has it as an option in the bios boot drive order then yes. There are versions of win7 available for download that are prepatched. otherwise you can get the patch from MS. Search the knowledgebase on “install windows 7 from flashdrive” It would be easier to try the drive in a differant pc first though. otherwise you might find that it isn’t just the drive that isn’t working. all of a sudden your dad might have a full resolution on the monitor, sound might not work, scanner printer might not work. Blame who you like for it, but the drivers might not be available…And a roll back is a mission and two halves!
