There is an software called KGB Archiver which compresses big files into small ones, however, they have a long rate of compressing a unarchiving which is pointless because you would have to wait for a long time (depeing on your memory) for it to be uncompressed which probably takes the same time downloading its full size.
What about people who don’t have that much net data per month?
But imagine the bawidth everyone would save. A for the unfortunates amongst us (myself included) that have corrupted download issues it would be a godse.

those 5 GB files compress in 10 MB are fake, there is NO way to do this, you can’t simple remove 4.99 GB of date at one e a just recreate it at another e
KGB archiver really can do that. i have compressed a 2mb file to just 2 kb a later uncompressed dat a it was working. but it took half an hour for both the process. so uncompressing the 10mb file to 5 gb will take arou 1 week
Compressing 5GB into 10MB is acceptable if it is a highly compressible file (such as a text file, which has repeating data occurring at different positions, so only the number of occurrence a position need to be recorded a neglecting the duplicates, thus cutting down on file size).
But compressing a 5GB game which has different data types buled along (audio clips, video clips, pictures etc) to 10MB is impossible a is most probably a fake. Check out the link you’ve given. Most on them say it is a fake a some have provided evidences to prove it is a fake file. 🙂
Those high levels of compression can only be done on certain data types. Don’t expect to see those compression levels on everything. Then its most probably a fake.

KGB Archiver's developers tout their tool for its high compression rate, but its performance in our tests left us dissatisfied.
This app opens with a compact, slightly cluttered interface with the basic components: a field for listing files to compress or expa, a field for specifying the location of the output file, the level of compression, options for passwords, a so forth. We initially liked that it offered nine levels of compression, from Minimal to Maximum, but our tests with the midrange Normal a Good settings weren't satisfying.
For instance, we compressed a 23.5Mb file using the Normal setting: KGB Archiver worked 3 minutes a 15 secos to output a file the same size as the original file. Using the Very Good setting, KGB worked 21.5 minutes to turn the 23.5Mb file into another 23.5Mb file. Not what we were hoping for at all.
When we want a compressed file, we want the output to e up smaller than the original file. That's not at all what we got with this free app with many of its compression options. Using compression rates above Good led to desired results, but that leaves several options next to useless. There are better tools on the market, including other freeware options, a we suggest you try other programs before making your decision.
If you do have video files to compress , you can use MKV format.. good quality small in size… works fine…. nowadays videos are kept compress by this method…

Import your files, Select MKV HD from HD TAB goto setting select x264 or h264 codec…. then select low bitrate depes on your quality a size need …. experiment yourself.. Total Video Converter 3.5 HD Inc-Serial

Oh yeah, I’ve heard KGB Archiver . It took me a night to uncompressed the file, what a sweat. But, For everyone that tell the KGB Archiver can do that a I’m supporting that statement too. KGB Archiver highly compressed the file so it make you uncompressed it a bit longer.
Well, in the other side we can see that many user doesn’t using the advantage of this program. They want points from RS(I guess…)

KGB Archiver is real a not a fake, but the problem is that as above posts say, i.e., for files containing different bules of data like a game, its not useful.. Because there is a high probability of making the data corrupt…….
MY EXPERIENCE:
I had two files, one of GTA San Areas a the other of Office 2007…….
Office 2007 was as it is ….
but GTA was corrupted………..
It depes on you whether to use it or not……..
There’s a solution for this:
1. Compress different files of game iividually by KGB Archiver.
2. Then use Winrar or a compressor to bi the complete data as a single compressed archive file..
3. That’s it the possibilty of corrupting data is reduced to 80%……
4. Corruption is made only due to User…….
it’s as xesex said really, if you you have a file say ‘thisisplaintext’ a billion times in a row, the archiver can easily reduce that to ‘thisplaintext’x1000000000. if you have more complex/unrepeating data you’ll get a lower compression ration. say a movie or a game, if you can get 5% off with high compression that’s good already. but it’ll take you a few days to compress & several hours to decompress.
