Please Help! Graphics Issue

so im playing return to castle wolfenstein (2002) game and i changed the resolution to 1600X 1200X,and my pc can handle that, but the game doesnt go into it instead i get this message, and now no matter what i do i cant get back into the game!!
even when i reinstall,

When you uninstall the game some of the game settings remain in your PC and are picked up by the next install.
If the game directory is still on your HDD after uninstall, delete it manually.
Also check if there are ‘Wolfenstein’ related files somewhere in the ‘Documents’ folder. Delete those, too.

thing is i want to keep my savedgame files,since im very far ahead in the game,
is there no way to change the settings?

Look through the files in that folder. Most of the games keep your progress (saved game) in one file and the audio&video settings in another.
Usually, your saved game file is named after your in-game profile.

remove any .cfg you can find in the directory, as then it should reset all the settings. you said so yourself, once you went to 1600*1200 it wouldnt work.
