Depending on what Microsoft OS you are running, the Xbox 360 wired controller is plug and play.
XP requires drivers. If you need them let me know. I will upload them for you.

The link above is the OFFICAL Wireless Controller for Windows. It contains a USB dongle that allows you to use your 360 controller on your PC wirelessly.

thanx mate ,appreciate it

I guess you guys don’t get it.
The official Wireless controller doesn’t come with any wireless access point for the PC. So the USB thing is just for charging the controller. You have to buy this: http://www.xbox.com/en-NZ/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/

Before you post. Please read the full contents of previous post.
If you go to the Amazon link you will see that, the package DOES INCLUDE the wireless receiver.

A great all round controller for your pc is the “cyborg rumble”, with this you can flip the “D” pad around via a release button so you have a xbox and a (dare i say it) play station controller in one unit.
Great software for these everything is reprogrammable to profile setups and lots of functions for instant controller change.
Hope this helps.
