windows media player dont work on my computer any1 know why?

what it is, any version of windows media player, like the latest version, doesnt work, ive got it installed into my computer, when i run it or try to open it with anything, nttn happens, even after 5 minutes of waiting, nothing pops up
ive noticed people posting windows media player 11, saying WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11 FOR XP
i use vista yasee, so dont this work wid vista or sttn??
it used to tho =/
ive been having to use real player an stuff , but the sounds always out wid that xD

try looking in the task manager if it has the process “wmplayer.exe” in the processes tab if it does close the process and try opening windows media player again

yeah that comes up, an when i try agen it dont work =/
just doesnt open up anywere except in the taskmanager =?

U can Try system restore if u have a backup
or if u have installed any recent app after which u experienced a prob, i read somewhere that satellite TV for pc gave vista users problems
also someone fixed his version by tuning of UAC in user accounts in the control panel , u can try that too

ur thingy might be corrupted. Exploits from limewire do this often.

nope not limewire dont use it, havent on this computer, its since windows vista did a self update
keeps updating everyday pissing me off hahaa
