Ubuntu Media Player

August 5th, 2016

When I try to play a video file (.wmv, .mkv, .mp4, etc) or the visualizer in the default media player on Ubuntu 8.10, the screen that it plays on will begin to flicker. I can play YouTube videos fine, so I’m thinking it’s just the application. Any ideas? My graphic card is ATI Radeon XT1250, and I have the driver installed and enabled.
If you need any more info please just post

Mate. I did the same. Had the same problem. I switched back to 8.04 and all working fine now. Remember that its just a beta. Wait for 4 more days.
