Soreness Normal?

August 5th, 2016

I did some leg workouts like 3 days ago and I can still hardly walk. is it normal to be sooo sore even 3-4 days afterwards?
Answer #1
It usually depends on how hard you have trained/worked out. If your feeling the same tomorrow, go see your local GP.
Answer #2
I worked them out pretty hard, you know the burning you get when you’re working out right? Well I did like 4 sets of 12 reps and id say 4-6 reps into each set it would burn But yeah its really hard to put my legs fully extended or stand up straight you know, i kinda have to bend my knees or walk w/o my heels.
Answer #3
What kind of workout?
4 sets of 12 sounds really little for me.
Answer #4
Well all I did really was you know, just stand on the ground, you can add weights if you like but it was my first time doing it so I didnt, and just slowly push yourself up using ur calf and slowly lower yourself down again. its harder than it sounds lol trust me my legs are sore as hell still
Answer #5
You must remember to stretch the muscles before intensive excercise , you will find less pain occurs when you do so.
Answer #6
What type of stretches are the best? I did the sit down and reach for my toes stretch…
Answer #7
I just did it and except for being boring it was really easy.
Maybe you should workout more often?
Answer #8
well if you did a reasonable amount of stretches beforehand , you may have simply overexerted your self on the weight side .
Just taake it easy on the legs for a while , if pain persists as previously mentioned , go to a gp.
Answer #9
some muscle soreness after working out is normal. that burning you felt was microscopic tears in your muscle tissue(normal), after soreness they will rebuild and grow back bigger and stronger.
you should be fine since you weren’t using weights, just be sure not to overdo it.
Answer #10
Yeah I plan on working out more often, ive just never had any interested in working out my legs until earlier lol
And thank you, ill make sure I stretch completely before any more workouts, and if it doesnt get better tomorrow ill defiantly see whats wrong.
Answer #11
Also, check your protein intake, that helps get rid of the “day after” soreness too
