Far Cry 2 BLANK SCREEN :(

Ok so i have purchused far cry 2 and i downloaded it and tried to play it but it doesnt work as i try to load the game, all i can hear is the sound but no picture/video is being displayed! i decided to check the internet as i am the only one with this problem but i was not so i follow some of the methods online and this is what they are…
Number 1 FIX (tried already)
“Somebody probably solved this already. Anyway here’s the fix for that black screen windowed when you first load the game. Go in your (user)\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2 folder and open up GamerProfile.xml.
Find (Maximized=”0″) change it to a 1 and save. Problem solved almost. Now load game and go to options and change dx9 to dx10 and accept then quit game. load game and go back to options and change your resolution to what ever you like then accept and play. Now the 180.42 drivers work great!
PS:I could not enable dx10 and change the resolution at the same time because game would go back to that black window mode. ”
Number 2 FIX (tried already)
“Another solution for the windowed problem (in Vista anyway) is right clicking the shortcut -> properties -> compatability -> disable visual themes.”
None of these methods worked for me as i really want to play this game. Please help me!!!!
i just tried a ATI patch for the visual display and nothing happened from gamershell!
HELP ME OUT!!!!!

What’s your specs? especially RAM, CPU and Graphics card….

I would try uninstalling your GPU and then running drivercleaner pro,then download the newest drivers and install!

Sorry im a bit of a noob!!!! how do u uninstall the GPU? and then what is the latest driver?
If there is any other methods please recomend them as i really want to play this game (

just list your specs firstly. Use everest (software) to find what they are. Or if you know what your doing, update the drivers from either Nvidia or ATI’s site depending on your card

Ok but why doesnt the picture show? i mean it should shoow and lag the game like hell! but it doesnt even do that (!

if you’re gpu is below the minimum, it probably wont show anything at all
even so, download latest graphics card drivers (i had white screen when playing before i updated), go here : http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML

If I’m right your ATI radeon XPRESS 200 has integrated ATI X300 graphics and I’m afraid that it is not enough to run this game. SRY

yes it is in fact a integrated chipset and its usually found in laptops… do you have a laptop?
integrated chipsets are not good enough to run farcry 2 let alone any game that came out in 2005-08. even if you upgrade your graphics card you may have problems with the game being laggy as your CPU is not very good either.
sorry but looks like you wasted 50 bucks…
you should always look up a games requirements before buying or downloading.
