VGA flickering?

August 4th, 2016

I’ve recently bought a new LCD with VGA. I want to have the display of my laptop on it by using a VGA cable.. But whenever i put it… it displays but gets black out after every 5 seconds and then it’s back and again after 5 seconds it’s gone..
And i’m sure this is not a Cord problem.. i have used 3 of them.. in which 2 of them were brand new.. And one more thing is the VGA cord same for both PC and LCD tvs or there is a difference??
Thanks In Advance

It could be a resolution problem…Not sure what graphics card you have..But most of them have a sort of control pa to set and change the secondary monitor resolution..

Any other way??
Answer #6
well i had the same porblem you are but for me i used to get a screen that popped up and said waht do you want to use the monitor as i think its in properties. Go into properties and jsut play around with that i am pretty sure its something in there.
Answer #7
Refresh rate looks right with 60Hz but don’t know if it’s output that way through external. Lower resolution to see if it stops flickering. If it does it means your Intel onboard can’t handle it.
Answer #8
maybe some other device is interfering with the signal in the cable?
Answer #9
it not a problem or cord or nething!!!
the problem u are facing is because yur onboard graphics just cant handle another display!!!!
if u had a proper card like sum nvidia or ati it wiuldnt be happening!!!
Answer #10
Well.. i’ll try to lower the resolution… but it flickers only when i put it on my LCD…. it works fine with the PC monitor..
Answer #11
Maybe if you can turn off the display on the laptop it might handle it better..
Answer #12
Can you try the screen with another computer? Sounds like the screen is broken.
