The suffering wont work!

hello all everytime i install the suffering and try to play it wont let me it says something about checking display drivers and re opening the engine options but it still wont work all drivers are updated i meet min sys req, but it still wont work i uninstalled ten times and reinstalled and even deleted the registry files, but no luck does anyone have any solutions!!??? oh i am using win xp dark edition v3 and its the first game prison is hell….. thakns alot for any replies

I know you said your display drivers are up to date but try to update them again / install them again

This game is a few years old, just look at the specs below:
Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP; Pentium III 1.0GHz; 128 mb Ram; DirectX 9.0b included on disc; DirectX 8.1b compliant 32mb video card; DirectX 8.1b compliant sound card; 4X CD Rom; 2 GB free hard drive space
Any reasonable computer built in the last couple of years should handle it. Maybe the game can’t handle your newer hardware (weird, but possible).
Are you trying to play version 1.0 or 1.1?
There’s are crack available for 1.1, but I couldn’t find an actual update for the game.

Ive seent this game in PS2 magazines must be old, Lol DirectX 8.1b? PCs have come along way. And try patching it to 1.1 and using 1.1 crack might be a game problem.
