Windows 7 installation problem
January 22nd, 2020
first of all, I have a CD with Windows 7 that I burned from .iso files on that forum… I already did the installation of windows 7 with the CD 2 months a go. Today, results have changed.
So, I put my Windows 7 CD and then I run it on my windows vista (64 bits)… Then install a fresh copy.
When the installation is on the last step, “Completing Installation..” It restarts the PC and the PC goes to “Starting Windows” then BLACK screen and I can’t do anything.
Why
Sounds like an issue with your GPU or similar, im not sure what you can do but try 32 bit.
It seems that the installation completed but when loading Windows crashes.
Well, let’s hope that it wrote a report on the event viewer.
Right after your BIOS screen, press F8 and select Safe Mode.
When Windows finishes loading, go to control panel – administrative tools – event viewer.
Look for the time your computer rebooted and search for solution with another computer.
If you can’t even get to Safe Mode, can you reinstall? If that also fails, try the 32-bit version?
If all the above fails then come back here
So, I put my Windows 7 CD and then I run it on my windows vista (64 bits)... Then install a fresh copy.
So your saying you started setup from within vista? That’s
totally not the right way to go about it,You should boot
from it! then format your C partition so it’d make
a clean install. Also,Is it an untouched/msdn copy
or a Pre-activated/BIE one? it’s always best to
use an untouched copy.
untouched copy of windows 7. My PC is an 64 bits. I will try method… But what is a GPU? My head is a bit exauhested from trying a many things last night.
But what is a GPU?
Graphics Processing unit, short for Graphics/Video card
Th hardware is alright… I think. And yet… Nothing work. I tried 2 different CD.. Deleting, formatting and overwriting partitions. I tried everything
The only thing that works now is my recovery CD that install vista! Not funny anymore. My CD worked before with no problem.
Problem fixed. Thanks for everyone who helped. I just got 1 question. Now that the Windows 7 is activated it says that it’s activated and genuine. When Microsoft windows update finish.. It will be non genuine. How can I keep it genuine?
Activate windows 7 with an activator then use removewga. That should work.

Looks like you have updated Anti-WGA by Microsoft.
Well, Search in Freewares section for WGA for windows 7 patch & Apply
Don’t install the update- KB971033.Hide it from updates list in windows update.
Try installing this thing while booting. Is your disc bootable?
