Genuine Microsoft OS/Office serial keys from company?

August 8th, 2016

The company where I work at use a Volume License and has a serial key for XP/Office2003/Office2007/Visio and soon will be Win7ProPlus and Office2010. The keys of course are genuine and are used to activate OS and Office apps for all PCs in the company for years already.
Anyway, I’m just wondering if it’s safe for me to use the keys for personal use? Meaning if I use it on my home machine.
Is there a possibility that the keys could be detected by the company or Microsoft (when requested from the company) that they have been used for personal use?
Especially like Office 2010 where we activate it online, not sure if Microsoft records the installation, and where in the company Office 2010 Pro installations are being limited.

I think it shouldn’t be an issue because all the keys we use are from one or the other source. It wouldn’t make any issue I’m sure.
