Problem playing 1080p movies on xbox360

Hey guys, i have been trying to play HD mkv and mp4 movies on my xbox360.
the mp4’s get the error saying it cannot be played
and the mkv movies, it cannot see.
i have tried the converters to convert to the xbox360 mp4s that are supposed to work, but of course they didn’t :/
anyone got any ideas, or know how i can get them to work?

try muxing MKV file with tsMuxer or MKV2VOB. You don’t need to convert mkv to mp4 you mux them which just changes the container

I think the Xbox360 only supports avi…

Of course it won’t work, the 360 doesn’t have plugins for MKV container or even the x264 plugin.
HD for 360 is VC1.

Sorry some correction here.
Its actually VC-1, my mistake. MKV is a container just like AVI, remember that. So you actually have to change container and video format. AVS Video Studio should work as it has plenty of widely used hardware profiles.
