Split displays

ok i have a ATI 3870 hd video card, and i want to be able to do some serious multi tasking, so i hooked my computer up to my tv, and i extened my desktop onto it, now of course, my monitor is much better quality and i cannot read stuff well on my tv, since it’s an old one not anything like a plasma or LCD, so i want to be able to full screen my games on my tv, and keep my firefox and other tasks open on my monitor, but when i went to fullscreen something on my tv, it went back to my monitor, and the only way that i have found to fix this, is to swap the order of the displays and make my tv my main display, but that is ugly and i cannot read anything, so my question is, how can i make it so that when i maximize my games, they go on the secondary monitor instead of the primary, and switch back and forth with some key shortcuts such as Alt + tab? thanks for the help

Try setting the tv as primary monitor in the settings, worked for me after i spent 90 mins trying to work it out with a plasma

try using ultramon, more info on their site. Its supposed to a be a dual screen config software

oh ok thanks i looked at some of the features but idk if it will work, i’ll give it a shot and get back to ya

yeah i tried that but you see my tv sucks so bad that i cannot read anything, the only thing i want that for is full screen games
