xbox 360 online?

i have xbox 360 with 1.51 ixtreme firmware( as it has an hitachi drive) so im wandering is it safe to go online yet? last time i played online ages ago there were no problems at all but ive heard microsoft are doing a huge ban wave so any1 know when or if il be able to play online without being banneed?

lol the ban wave was 2 months ago =). if you got your xbox flashed over 2 months ago and if you have been flagged, even though the ban wave is over you will get banned as soon as you connect to live. I flashed my Lite-on 3 weeks ago with 1.6 and played on live, downloaded updates, no ban and i updated to 1.61 3 days ago, played on live and still not banned. there is no way to tell if you are banned untill you connect to live.

i know im behind thats why im asking here so i can be sure, i got my 360 flashed over a year ago but havent played it in ages, and ive now got some new backup games and wanted to know if i can play them online
