You can install Photoshop CS2 using Winedoors in Linux. I would also try XMMS for Winamp. It’s a Winamp clone.

1. Rhythmbox is the best, hands down! Screenie below

2. Movie Player (the default is good) as is Mplayer. To get the proper codecs all you need to do is type this in terminal
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Screenie of movie player

3. I don’t do converting, so no comment
4. Gimp
5. Open Office or you can use apt-get to install abiword
— Other good programs would be
K3b for burning (Brasero is okay tho)
sudo apt-get install k3b
Wine (thought it comes with 9.04) sudo apt-get install wine
Deluge (if you torrent)
sudo apt-get install deluge
Emesene (if you use msn and you hate pidgin)
sudo apt-get install emesene
Ksnapshot (cool screencap program)
sudo apt-get install ksnapshot

If you prefer a graphical interface, you may use the Synaptic Package Manager.

Answer #13
Try downloading Vine for Ubuntu, it is an emulator and i believe it is an essential.
Answer #14
Do NOT install files you find on the internet. Install your programs always from the package manager (synaptic. It’s on the start menu ). This way you are sure that the files are not corrupted, and also every program you install with synaptic (dpkg-apt) gets updated automatically
I agree with the programs suggested and I want to add amsn as an msn client
Answer #15
Well No Its Not The Hardest To Use + I Have Dual Booted, Even Freshly Installed Ubuntu 9.40 And I Did Like It But Where Im So Used To Windows It Was A Little Hard To Get Used To And Before I Gave It A Chance I Was Back On Windows.
Maybe I’ll Try Again Some Time:)
