Need for speed pro street – black screen

I get a black screen – no sound, and when I alt tab it it quits and makes up some error about could not “read” memory.
If I run as admin it just says had to quit.
Any ideas?

I got the same error as him except I have a nvidia 8800 gt with quadcore processor with 2 gbs of ram. I believe its requiring us to install this yasu which corrupts dvd drives and hard drives sometimes and it did corrupt one of my dvd drives before that it could not write dvds anymore right after I used yasu plus I had so many errors on my hard drives with corruptions that i refuse to install yasu anymore.

Dont worry I fixed it it just took forever to load.
But my specs are a radeon 9600xt
Along with a core 2 duo.
Only a baby one though.
