AVI to Quicktime?

Hey guys i was just wondering what programme can i use to transfer my AVI to a quicktime file ( preferably better quality than MP4)

is it a dv avi? if so you could try importing it into premiere and then exporting it as a quicktime movie. but it might take a long time
If its a divx or xvid avi i dont know
