how to burn avi files to vcd

hello there.. i have some movies, which is avi files. i want to burn it to vcd, but i couldnt find a good burning software. i already use nero 8.0.0.3, but when i choose the avi files, nero not automaticly convert it into vcd files, but ask me to download the files needed to convert it. what should i do? do i must convert avi files to dat and then burn it to disc? or i must use another software to burn beside nero? thanks for the help, much appreciated..

Hey You could try xilisoft video converter. That should convert you AVI files to VCD.

You have to convert them to the VCD format having extension .MPG or .MPEG & after writing as VCD become .DAT, That’s why you must go with Nero & Download the required files needed for the converter. Cheers mate

Remember that you can only 80minutes of playing time on a single CD and quality is low so it is only really suitable for the lower quality video clips etc

convertxtodvd is the most popular application to use. nero vision is also quite good.
