[SOLVED]Music volume playback not consistent

It’ll play fine for a few seconds depeding on the song and then the volume starts lowering then back to normal, and repeats throughout every song.
Anyone know what i’m talking about/have a solution?

hmm i am not sure, because i downgraded to xp. but you have to go to control pa/sound and go to advanced settings, you have to look for that. there are some settings like equalizer, sound balance…
someone with vista will help you

I dont see any equalizer settings. Check out this screenshot, is this what you’re talking about? Thanks man.

“Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device” was selected/checked before, so i un-checked it.

This is what i get dude. I clicked update driver and it updated it, so i’m going to restart and see what happened.

try windows media player
if it doesnt work then you have to find the volume balance thing that i told. i had that problem on my laptop. i could help if i had vista.

I emailed creative about the problem, and they gave me some suggestions, and the first one was to disable my onboard sound card in BIOS, and it worked!
