Make A Boot Disk from your current OS?

August 5th, 2016

Does anyone know of a way to make a bootdisk from your current operating system? I have some programs that I want to be able to take with me, but I can’t figure out how to make them portable, so the next best thing would be to make a boot disk copy of my windows xp with the programs installed on it. Anyone know if this is possible, and if so, the way to do it? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Or you can use an app like Paragon Partition manager that will make boot and rescue disc’s for you.

thanks , i’ll look into your link.
– thanks for the tip on thinstall, but it doesn’t work for the programs that I want to make portable because they need to install drivers and run services. If you have any info on that, that would be a huge help.
– you mean you can make a boot disk cd of your operating system with paragon partition manager? I thought it only made boot disks that allowed you to repair your computer if something happened to it. If you see this again, please clarify what you mean, it would be a big help too. thanks for the replies.

‘s tip will help you if you’re looking into creating your own bootable disk. However, this is not your interest (at least not according to your request). Also, as for your other comment. With Paragon you will be able to create a recovery partition and not create an installation of Windows of your own. You basically wish to create your own custom version of XP. You just want to be able to install XP with everything you need pre-installed. Check out this guide to find out how to create a custom XP disk:

Good luck mate ^_^
