Buying an Xbox 360

August 24th, 2013

ok so i was thinking of purchasing an xbox 360, and i wanted to know my head from tail when it comes to home brewing. i ran a PS2 with a modded chip before but it seems things have gotten complicated with the xbox 360 (or maybe overly simplified)…so 2 things that is:
1-where to start: mod chip, CFW, which and how?
2-burning the games: can any DVD burner be used or are there ones that are required to burn dual layer?
also…whats the purpose of the xbox 360 HDD, because there is a BIIg price difference between the 4 GB version and the 250 GB version….and last thing, is kinect worth the extra money (it almost costs as much as the 4 gb console

You can save all your data and install games on the HDD. you want this.
Though you can always throw in another HDD later on,.
You will need a dual layer dvdrw. some work better than others on xbox games.
Also i’m not sure if you can flash the newer models.

so if i have a proper large sized HD, i wouldnt need dvds or burners (assuming i either flash or mod)???
Answer #3
Get a jtaged 360, best version. Then homebrew away. This way you can put fans at 100%
