Old rock is the best: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple…
is that based on my thingies or uir opinion? cos i always thought i was a alt rock sort of guy…
That Hey Monday song kinda reminded me of Paramore. Since you seem to like the female rockers, I will recommend Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Show Your Bones (2006) and PJ Harvey – To Bring You My Love (1995). All their albums are great but those are just my favorites and a good place to start. On the more testosterone side I will recommend One Day as a Lion and Them Crooked Vultures.
I could go on all day recommending bands but I will leave you with that for now.
I began to feel the beats, but i want something with more layers maybe.

Do you like Incubus or Tool? Those were the first to pop into my head when you said layers. You have to go old school with Incubus because I don’t like their newer stuff as much. Tool is always amazing. I just wish they would put albums out more often.
