Problem with Batman Arkham City

I installed the game and it works. But instead of playing as Batman in the beginning I play as Catwoman but I can’t mover her around or anything. What’s the problem? I am at the very beginning when Catwoman has to fight a bunch of thugs in a room.

I have a Dual Core 2.8 GHz with 3.25 GB RAM and a Geforce GT220 1 GB RAM
I got the R.G. Catalyst version. I didn’t install the update.

Well I managed to get past the part where I fight as Catwoman. Now I am in the part where Bruce Wayne is handcuffed and captured and he has to fight some thugs. The steel doors are suppose to open after I fight the thugs which doesn’t happen.

after defeating the thugs you climb on top of the trash can and go up the ladders
