1080p playback…slow

August 8th, 2016

Hello.
My computer specs:
AMD Athlon X2 2.1 GHz Duel Core
ATi Radeon HD 3200
2 gigs DDR2 800 ram
Anyway, I know..I’m using onboard graphics, but apparantly its made for it.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135075
is my motherboard
Anyway.
I have my 51 inch HDTV hooked up through HDMI at 1080
Anyway.
While trying to play 1080p movies I have downloaded from , the video is choppy as hell and the sound lags, depending on the player, different results.
Any ideas?
Is it because i’m using onboard graphics(surprisingly that is MADE for this, I have some sort of hardware bluray/hdvd/h264 decoding or somthing like that, how would I utilize that?)
Or is it because of my processor?
I can overclock to about 2.7 if needed.
Any ideas why it plays so horribly?

Answer #1
I don’t think your specs are high enough but have you tried using media player classic?
Answer #2
Yes, I do get the best results with that, but the sound gets a bit laggy, and the frame rate is at about 23 FPs..sux
Should I overclock?
Answer #3
I’d try oc’ing and see if it helps. I think it’s more likely is the gfx that’s the problem though.
Answer #4
Ah. Okay.
I am getting a 8800 GT in like 2 weeks.
That i’m sure would help.
Answer #5
Have you tried installing cccp codecs?
Answer #6
cccp codecs ? I’ll google it and try.
Answer #7
zoom player and vlc player are very good for mkv files
an onboard card isn’t near powerfull enough to play 1080p movies,
you’d be amazed how much a player may require
wait 2 weeks before watching I’d say, 8800 gt will do the trick
Answer #8
Alright, thanks.
