VLC problem ( VideoLAN Player )

hi, my vlc player works great, yet EVERY time i try to skip into the video like skip it into another section, it takes atleast 10 seconds for the video to appear.
for example, i click into the middle if the video, and it appears all blurry and messed up for atleast 0 seconds before the real video displays.
any help????

I don’t think the problem is in VLC. I think it’s because of the video file. It’s probably an Mkv right? If you want to be sure, google “klite codec pack” install into your WMP and see if it works there.

Probably either an MKV file and they are very CPU hungry, but if your reading from your disc drive if may be your disc reader.

This is normal for VLC.
Yes K-Lite has a very high chance of not having this issue.

It’s to do with your CPU not being able to decode the video quick enough when you seek.
