Video Editing Issues With Adobe Premiere Elements

when i try to edit my footage in adobe premiere elements 7.0 i get the error meesage that i am running low on memory, but how can it be when i have 3gb of ram, a 512mb graphics card and a perfectly running os? any suggestions?
My System:
Windows Vista Eternity 2009 os
3gb ram
1tb hdd
ati radeon 3650 graphics
intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz

try changing your theme settings to classic mode, to free up some video memory.
also check the preferences, you might not be running low on memory, and just your prefs auto-alert when it reaches a certain point.
cntrl+alt+del (performance tab) and check to see when your memory flies outta control when your editing/rendering video, and troubleshoot what could be the issue.
