HD playback Problems

August 12th, 2017

I just got an HD camera for christmas. It is a Vivitar 840XHD. I recorded some skating videos. I went to play them with Media player Classic (K-Lite Mega).
The video skips and is jumpy. It plays back fine on the actual camera, ergo, its not the cold or something.
I did some research on it. I believe that it should play.
I’ve noticed it said the file was .AVI. That confused me. Its HD. Should it be this?
My computer specs are: 2GB of Ram. 2.0 GHZ processor and Radeon 200 series graphics card.
The computer is quite old, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t.
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Answer #2

And alight, off to the computer store next week then, or is it better to just get a new machine?
Answer #3
New PC :>
Answer #4
Hmm, what do you suggest for minimum price, as I could swap out the harddrive and I don’t need a screen??
I guess I could get some off of Kijiji, this company is selling 3.2Ghz P.4’s. not sure graphics card, but do you think they’ll play?
Answer #5
What is your budget? The least you want is Dual core.
Answer #6
Well, I wasn’t really planning on buying a new P.C, so its a bit of an upset. Not worth just a new Graphics card?
Um, I don’t really wanted to spend more than 150$, but there’s no way in hell I’m gonna get anything good with that.
If it helps, I’m in the GTA(Brampton, ON.)
Answer #7
For that you might as well just get new GFX, what motherboard do you have?
Answer #8
Hmm. I’m not sure. I tried checking in msinfo32, but it shows it “Radeon Xpress 200 series” under everything.
