DVDFab — Error
September 6th, 2013
Y;know when you download a film, and then start the film in VLC – no I will not change to a different media player – it comes up with the name of the film…. even when you rename them.
The film is Rio – and got it from a torrent. Now the guy who ripped it put a whole lotta spam on it, and I wanna remove it (the very intro – where it says the name).
The film is in Avi, so I tried converting it to Mkv – with a different name. But the file size went from 700MB to 1.7GB.
So I tried converting the original to Avi as well, just to remove the spam. But it comes up with an error.
Can you offer any suggestion? (besides redownloading from WBB)
Thanks in advance
Sounds like he hard-Coded a Watermark?

Use virtualdubmod in “directstream copy” mode,You’ll be able to cut it from X to Y point without re-encoding.

You mean on the movie itself, or the file properties ?
If it’s the latter – right click on the file > properties > Summary > edit it then apply
It’s obviously hard coded.(Part of the video itself)
Like Roberto says, you could chop off the intro if you don’t need that bit.
