Game help with iso files

i have recently installed call of duty 4 after having borrowed the disk from my friend. after making a virtual disk and returning the disk i installed the game and everything went fine.
I mounted the disk again and opened up the disk, it goes to a slash screen and then to a menu of options i click on single player and an error message of:
“please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select ok and restart the application”
But if i click on multilayer it works fine.
can anyone help me get single player to work?
