Excessive Use
As Xnet is a shared access to the greater Internet, it is the users responsibility to ensure that their actions on Xnet do not impact on the experiences of other Xnet users. Therefore WxC will take action on specific users that are deemed by WxC to be utilising XNet resources excessively with the possibility of impacting other users. This includes but is not limited to the amount of data that may be downloaded in a month or part of a month.
WxC may:
Warn the customer that continued excessive downloading may result in further action
Shape, filter, exclude or prohibit the further downloading of further data - either in its entirety or apply this on certain types of traffic
Continued excessive downloading may result in the cancellation or suspension of the account without warning
With regards to a dial-up connection, this connection must not be used as a permanently connected service
WxC will at its discretion reset your connection to ensure that the service cannot be used in this manner.

Thanks in advance if you know anything.
Better contact them… if they dont listen get a new one

Well that is really a load of crap that says nothing…Do you have a plan with a download limit that you may have exceeded .?
You should be able to log on to your account and check, I would think
5 Gig dosent seem a lot unless you have a very basic broadband package, speak to your isp if they say you ok and its not them then use 1 of the fixes for rapidshare in the helpdesk. The host file fix is by far the most reliable, any probs pm me and ill help you sort it.
Any ISP that puts that kind of a restriction on how much you can download is not worth a damn. Dump them and yourself a new ISP.
With my ISP, I have unlimited downloads. They should provide the same to you.
I’m with on this one.
ALL ISP PROVIDERS (IF NOT THE SMALLER ONES, DEFINITELY THE BIG ONES) SHAPE THE TRAFFIC OF THEIR BROADBAND USERS WHEN IT BECOMES EXCESSIVE.
Sorry for the capital letters, i just wanted to make sure you read this.
Basically, so that those lower end bandwidth users dont complain or even run short of bandwidth, your isp will place limits on how much the big users take up.
They do this when a user is taking up alot of resources in peak times – these times vary but are generally from afternoon till midnight.
There reasoning is that 5% of heavy users should not have an adverse affect on 95% of general users.
The limits in place are more stringent on the cheaper broadband packages – obviously they expect a user with 8mb+ broadband to have greater bandwidth usage.
This isnt an anti-rapidshare thing, this is a really crappy ISP limiting your usage after 5 gigs – normally takes a bit more than that.
Unless your ISP have specified for how long you are being throttled, you need to CALL them (call them anyway) and demand to have the limit removed – threaten to leave the ISP for another one (choose their biggest rival lol) – unless they take off the cap.
