my documents backup not possible

January 27th, 2020

My computer is experiencing some acpi problems, as a result
it won’t boot anymore. What I want to do is make a backup of
the contents of the hard drive. So I took out the laptop hard drive and
connected it through USB on my desktop. The disk is intact and i can open
some files, but I cannot open the folder my documents because when I installed my computer back in the days I chose for file protection (other accounts cannot read my files).
Now… is there nothing I can do to unlock these files?
Sincerely,
Gate

There are some companies that if your hard drive to them, they will fix it for you. I personally dont know if you can do it by yourself without some “special” software.
Be ready for anything, because I had a similar problem and I lost not only My Documents, but everything on my computer, ended up reinstalling OS.
Hope that helps some.
Answer #2
try some none windows/dos boot disc say hirens or erd commander their file managers should let you access and copy as the protection will probably be a windows function
