[SOLVED] Win XP Pro to Windows 7

I have been on a laptop with Windows 7 and I liked the Interface with being an XP user for so many years will I loose out on much.
1 – I like to clone Blu-rays using Anydvd.
2 – I like to use all Cracked x86 Programs on my PC Desktop
3 – I like to burn Wii Iso’s using Imgburn.
4 – I like to downlod films and copy them to my Datastick
5 – I do not play cracked PC games so much now.
Will I be able to still do the above on Windows 7?

Yeap…Most software that runs on XP will run on Windows 7 even if you use the 64 bit version…

Older programs might have some problems but it doesn’t sound like that would affect you.
Personally I dislike the Win 7 interface and still prefer XP because it works faster and better for me.

When you say older programs do you mean programs before XP like Dos related and such?

you won’t be able to play dos programs without an emulator of some sort
your drivers will be different, you definitely can’t use the same ones
you’ll need new programs as well, though you can run some under compatibility mode
otherwise, the interface is better in my opinion
and judging from what you have mentioned,
you won’t have a problem doing any of those things

Thanks for all the Input guys I will Just keep XP on my Desktop & get a Laptop In January Sales with Widows 7 on it.

if your system is any decent yo could always run a VM with windows xp on it. i did it a few times and had no probs with it.
