redsn0w iphone 3g (3.0)

hi,
just a quick question
i have an iphone 3g
i brought it like 3 weeks ago.
its original version was 2.2.1, and i jailbroke it then.
but last night i updated it to the new software 3.0
will the new redsn0w (recently released) work with jailbreaking my iphone 3g??
(if not then when will the new jailbreak be released?)
will all my old apps from 2.2.1 still work on this new jailbroken version??
(i have them stored on a hardrive)

Yes you can use redsn0w to jailbreak it. Be sure to download it from http://blog.iphone-dev.org/.

i dont mind about losing all my apps, cos i have them backed up, but will they still work on my iphone 3g, after i have jailbroken it with redsn0w??

Apps from App Store will work, only few apps from Cydia work, unfortunately…

Yop, it works for iPhone 3G but…
Your iPhone must be eighter unlocked for other carrier (by default, from factory settings!) or you have to use it with official carrier SIM card…
You can jailbreak iPhone 3G, but not unlock.
Unlock will be possible when ultrasn0w is out… I will update this topic then
