Viewing .gifs image problem

When I try and view a .gif image, all I get is this: [AD] Anyone know whats causing this. I’m using XP, and a Firefox browser.

If I try and view a gif image on a forum, instead of seeing an image, all I see in it’s place is a set of square brackets with the letters AD between them. This is all I see [AD]. I’ve now realized that the problem is with only one hosting site (sharenxs).
Sorry for repeating some of the original question, I’m not sure how to explain it any further.
I thought my firewall (outpost pro) was blocking the images, but I turned off the firewall and tried again, but no images.
Then I tried turning off my firefox add-ons, but no luck there.
Any advice is most welcome
