I need help with a Windows 7 problem.

I was downloading a file an hour ago and I got off the computer to do some other work. When I turned on the monitor to check the file I noticed that the PC had restarted by itself and was stuck at the Dell screen with the F2 and F12 options. So I was forced to turn it off via the surge protector. When I rebooted the PC and everything loaded up I got the message “Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown”. Has anyone run into this issue and what’s the solution?

Seems like your computer crashed, restarted, then was unable to load windows.
Does this occur frequently?
Does it still load after the “Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown”?
Probably just a virus, registry error, or a bad sector in your hard drive.

First of all I have had my PC for less than a month. I did upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Professional. I experienced this issue for the first time today since getting my new PC. The system does load without any issues but I did get the error message that I mentioned. I scanned the PC’s critical areas and there were no viruses. By the way I am using Kaspersky Antivirus. I had upgraded from 6 GB of RAM to 12 GB not long ago.

Yes M8 Probably its issue from virus. Or windows Missing file. U repair the Windows. Dnt worry its not Hardware Problem.

search for “event viewer” and check system & software sections for clues why it crashed
but just one crash is no big deal
if it starts to happen regularly then you have a problem

I got the blue screen twice yesterday evening within a time span of a few hours. So then I did a system restore and I restored the PC to the 27th of this month when I didn’t have the problem. I downloaded a couple of files this morning for almost an hour and a half and I didn’t encounter the issue. Is the blue screen more common with Windows 7 than with Windows XP or does it happen with both systems?

Is there a certain type of hardware conflict or just a hardware conflict in general? Maybe if I tell you what hardware I have maybe that can help.

i dnt have much knowledge about that but i remember one of my fnd have had a Net connect USB..
everytime he attach that usb to his vista , a blue screen came up and computer goes to restart
and when he attach that usb to my lapy(vista) ..no such screen came
even he tried to use that usb after format the windows..
but problem nvr resolve…

I bought two 4 GB sticks of Kingston memory over 2 weeks ago. The other two sticks of memory that I have inside the PC are of a brand that I never heard of which came with the system along with the Kingston brand. Instead of having two 1 GB sticks and two 2 GB sticks I now have two 2 GB sticks and two 4 GB sticks. So the system originally came with two different brands of memory and those are the same ones I am using now the only difference being the amount of RAM that I currently have that being 12 GB instead of 6 GB.

Do you think maybe it’s an issue with the network adapter. Perhaps I can turn off the wireless Internet connection or just delete it.

any BSoD’s since the rollback to the 27th ?
Is the blue screen more common with Windows 7 than with Windows XP or does it happen with both systems?
about the same
since the probelm seens to have started after adding the memory, if the problem persists try removing the memory for a bit and see if it stops
a BIOS update might help if the additional memory seems to be the cause
you can also try running Memtest86+ to check the new memory
also get ADIA64 or Speccy and check your temps
