How to completley remove an app from ipod touch?

I have the app pocketgod, one of my favorites, but the ipod wont let me update it. It always says there is an error and the version I bought before I jailbroke the ipod is there. I have tried deleting it and everything on the system, but itunes always recognizes that I bought it once and there is always a error when syncing. Any ideas? I would really really appreciate it…
anybody? I really need to figure this out…
