I wouldnt go with that one , Gigabyte got into the PSU market just recently and theres no review of this particular model , What i’m saying here
is that you shouldn’t buy a PSU without knowing anything in regards
to its quality , You would be better off going iwth a more reputable brand.
Where are you from? I could make a recommendation
But yeah in answer to yoru question it should be more then enough
Answer #2
Yes 400W PSU would be enough for your setup.
Answer #3
you’d definitely be cutting it close. put it this way, with my specs… if i wanted to upgrade my GPU again (which i will) i’d need to get a new PSU 500+.
Answer #4
It should be fine for your system, but yeh i’d go with a more reputable psu brand, perhaps with a slightly higher wattage so you can upgrade your cpu/mobo in the future.

Thank you, for your answers, I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so not much choice here in this cost range… That Gigabyte PSU is about 40 euros here, and another alternative would be – FORTRON FSP500 60APN 80Plus Bronze – 500W , which is available for 50euros. Would that do the trick??
I guess fortron is better than Gigabyte?
Edit:
I also found:
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 460W for 50euros , so which is the best?? In the review for Cooler master it says: Efficiency > 70% and Fortron is 80plus certified… Does that make fortron better?
Answer #6
I’d go for Fortron, specs seem ok though i can’t find any reviews. if you can get a corsair 500/550w go for that – don’t go cheap on PSU’s.
Answer #7
yep. a PSU is something you’ll have most likely longer than any other piece of hardware.. so you want to get the best you possibly can. for example, if you CAN/have access to… go for anything 650w+ to be prepared for future upgrades. that way, when new hardware launches, you won’t need to upgrade the 500w.
Answer #8
For your setup a 450W or greater PSU is recommended. Personally I buy PSU’s greater than 600W as I keep my PSUs for my next setup. I buy big brands and read loads of reviews.
It is recommended that you change PSU once every 3 years, as the capacitors wear out (leak more). I’ve seen schools, organisations. Brand new computers, hardware failures every week.
The culprit?
Generic power supplies. All of my computers die because I want them too. Eg. USB connected to firewire ports, it will work then suddenly one day it screws up the motherboard.
Answer #9
Thank you for your help, I’ve bought fortron 500w, and it works great for now. Not too quitet though, but tolerable…
Thanks once again for your responses,
