Error in quicktime

When i download a mp4 file and try to play it in quicktime i get this error: Error -2002: a bad public movie atom was found in the movie.
Any ideas? I hav vista also, thanks.

Ok from what i found here:
http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?t=471 It sounds like you could try zipping the file in an archive and then exact it or play it from the archive. The error msg is basically telling you that they file is partly corrupted so to speak. An atom is something that holds another thing together yes? Therefore, a ‘movie atom’ is basically what holds the movie together, thus ‘a bad public movie atom’ means that the atom that is holding the movie together, is ‘bad’ or not working as it should. Zipping a file, as well all know, compresses the file therefore the bits that make up a song or movie are compressed. If you try zipping this movie, the atom could be compressed together to reform the movie and have it working. This is not guaranteed to work but at least its something.
