Internet disconnects while downloading with IDM

Every time I try to download a movie, tv show, etc. with IDM, my internet will disconnect during a random time into the download. Then about a minute or so later, it comes back on and finishes the download with no problem.
I want to know if theres a way to stop my internet from disconnecting during a download because it frustrates me if I’m doing something else and the page stops loading.
Any help is appreciated.

This sounds more like an issue with your ISP. You choke up your connection with traffic and eventually you get disconnected. I’d say contact your ISP and ask them maybe to lower your profile. Syncronize at lower speed. I take it IDM or not this happens even if you download using your browser?

as S1driver said its probably ur ISP and the traffic in ur connection…and if ur issue is that u also cant resume downloads try using Jdownloader
its pretty good as usually IDM does not allow to resume downloads
u could also try flushing ur dns cache:
start>run>ipconfig /flushdns
