Why is almost everything I download corrupted?

June 30th, 2023

Before I used to use IDM with Firefox. Never had a problem EVER.
I’ve been using Chrome since its better. Therefor no longer being able to use IDM. Now I use jDownloader.
I have no idea what is going on. But lately, almost everything I download is corrupted. I just want to know why.
For example, a movie. Comes in 5+ parts as I download 720p/1080p. At least 1 file will extract as corrupted so I have to re-download that 1 .rar file again.
Is this common when using jDownloader? I never get an issue downloading with Chrome browser (crappy download management).
I’m downloading this movie:

10GB. I’ve downloaded 2 parts already. I start extraction, BOTH files are corrupt. Even if I wait until all files are downloaded to extract which is what I normally do, it will be the same. I’d have to download these 2 parts again.
I’m sitting here looking at the download of 1 file, it takes 8 minutes. I don’t see what is going on… seriously… what is going on? I’ve downloaded the file fully… why is it corrupt?
This is beyond pissing me off.
Any ideas?

Just use IDM the best available and use the updated version as it will fix any bugs left in it and idm works fine with chrome been using it from a long time without any issue cheers

i had a older system and ended up with too many corrupt downloads. Got a new system, problem went away. Really didnt do anything different.
The other time I was getting too many corrupt downloads, I finally figured it out…..bad RAM….new RAM, no more problems.
it would be 1,000 reasons. to many things could corrupt a file from where it sits on a server to your hard drive.
alot of 1-update your system, and 2-trial and error

It would certainly be worthwhile to test your memory..

If you get errors, try using one stick at a time to determine a faulty stick or slot..
You should also run error checking (chkdsk) on your hard drive
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk-for-errors
and get “hard disk senti” and check the drive’s health .
