Thanks.

What app are you using to download those files? If you use JDownloader, that problem will mostly be gone. Wink
Answer #2
like speedle said depends on download manager…up to date? jdownloaders shouldnt be doing that tho speedle is that is what he is using
Answer #3
If you are getting a large amount of corrupted files the problem could be with you local connection to ISP.
If there are only a few of them every now and then, it’s possible that these files were corrupted when they were uploaded.

if you find these please report them

I am not using any download managers. I just downloaded a file and it had twenty parts 6 of them are corrupted. It happens where I have at least two or more corrupted files.
I know that some are corrupted from the get go because when I download them again they are still corrupted. I do report these but other than that I shouldn’t be getting these corruptions. I just read another post and it might be my router because it is a wireless G but this has just started so, I am not sure about that. I also was wondering if it was something with my Isp but I don’t know how to determine that.
Answer #6
First try to use a download manager (JDownloader will do just fine). If that problem persists let us know.
Answer #7
its the ISP i had this problem before .. use Jdownloader. or try downloading from resume supported servers if u using the free download option..eg megaupload etc
Answer #8
I think you should contact your ISP and tell them about the problem.
You don’t need to tell them what you were downloading that was corrupted.
Just download some anything items of freeware stuff and tell them it was that which is corrupting.
Answer #9
ive run into this same problem before in the past, first as said above use either IDM or Jdownloader, second download only 1 file at a time, third disable or turn off any anti virus you might be running…..give this a try and i hope it works for you.

I’m with on this one.
Bad Sectors on your hard drive is another thing you could look for

Okay I ran scandisk and it said I had no problems. I used J downloader it was a lot better but I still have a few corrupted files. I believe it is the ISP and I have previous problems with them that haven’t been fixed yet no matter how much I complain. I think it is time for me to just get another provider.

Hmm, when this kind of thing happened to me it was due to an intermittent connection from my ISP (since changed ISP) I was using wireless and the router would just lose connection. Of course the delay in regaining connection breaks the dl and corrupts.
Not sure about this but in addition to what has been mentioned above might severe fragmentation affect dls?
Answer #13
yeah pretty sure its the isp, i used to never had these problems, but recently its just been dropping out randomly and back in, so i might leave heaps of files to download go out come home and they will all be finished but like 65% are corrupted :S never had a problem in the past…
