Driver signature W7 vs W8

July 26th, 2016

Hi,
I have this PCI-wireless card that needs to be installed and has no driver signature.
I’ve had this issue with W7, but what I did was ‘disable dr sign’ (with F8) then I could install the driver, and since then I’ve always need to start the PC with F8 (disable dr sign).
Now I’m trying out W8 and I’ve been having the same issue. So I disabled dr sign via ‘general’ > ‘advanced restart’ > … and it seems like this time it accepts the installation, because it verifies/warns the driver with ‘allow’ or ‘do not allow’.
However when the installation finishes a pop-up appears showing that the installation has been blocked:

Do you guys think there is a fix for this or should I buy a new card?
Thanks in advance.

Answer #1
Look for a signed driver, If you can’t find one, Buy a new card (and verify compatibility first)

No, can’t find a signed driver. It’s made by Sweex. I’ve used to install the same way under windows 7.
I’ve got two new ones from TP-Link checking them out.
Thanks for your reply.
