What is the best IP address hiding program?

August 6th, 2016

I torrented one called “Hide my IP Easy” from piratebay. In the instructions it says: Install Notes 1. Install the program, and do not run. 2. Copy the crack "HideIPEasy.exe" to prog dir, i.e."C:\Program Files\HideIPEasy\", and replace the original. 3. DONE!
I wasn’t sure how to do the #2 part of this.

Answer #1
Here’s how you should go about it:
Along with the installer, you should have a cracked exe file called “HideIPEasy.exe”. Simply copy-paste the cracked exe file to the directory in which you installed Hide my IP Easy and click “yes” if/when prompted to overwrite the file already present
You could alternatively give this a try:
[MULTI]Platinum Hide IP 3.1.9.8 + CRACK

Thanks. Is there a Mac version of this?
I don’t know what ‘directory’ means. Does it mean folder?

No idea about a Mac version but yes, directory would mean folder!

not a reliable one. Tor is full of paedos and MITM nodes. Other software uses terrible machines, over-subscribed and probably used for criminal activities.
Get a cheap VPS and host your own VPN on it.

There is no such thing as software that can block your IP, you need a service (another IP in another location to route traffic through) which is why this is not free.

So if you use Tor people can hack your computer and see all your family pictures and save them as they please? “terrible machines” exactly how?

not necessarily. There’s documented cases of people setting up packet sniffers and traffic analyzers on Tor nodes, so they’d be able to see what you’re doing through the Tor node. I doubt they’d be able to do anything beyond that.
“Terrible machines”, as in ~ Lovely ~ servers, multiple people on the same addresses, even possibly compromised machines.
You get what you pay for when it comes to security/

How cheap would be cheap? Do you have any specific recommendations?

Here’s a free one I use sometimes to get around IP Blocks.
http://www.spotflux.com/
It wont allow you to download/upload any torrents. Speeds aren’t bad especially if you get a server close to your location. Very easy to use. The app that you’re required to use has just one button; Enable/Disable. (Not including the configure and exit icons). To change IP after already Enabling the VPN, just click Disable and then hit Enable again.
It also says on site that it helps protect you from malware and blocks ads on sites saving you bandwidth.
Idk what your intentions are but I wouldn’t use spotflux for anything illegal like hacking.
Hope this was helpful!
Answer #21
You can always use Hotspot shield which is also a free VPN service, but it does have annoying ads http://www.hotspotshield.com/en
Answer #22
I used Hotspot shield but I noticed that it keeps using only one IP, and I would like to be able to change it at will.
Answer #23
I used Spotflux just now. It’s terribly slow. Do I have to keep doing enable disable until I find an IP that is actually fast?
It worked when I thought I closed it with Task Manager, (internet was slow, IP was changed), and I couldn’t see it in dock so I was scrambling to find the program to tinker with it but when I searched it in my Pokki (Windows 8 starter menu ) it only catched “Start Spotflux” which I guess starts from all over again (the message “would you like to give permission for this program to make changes” pops up). And now it has OpenVPN error (1) but still works (IP is changed, it’s a bit faster than before but still slow)
How do you turn it off though?

To turn it on, all you do is hit ‘Enable’. It will minimize to task bar (click the up arrow by clock) after enabled. To turn it OFF, open it up again in the TASK BAR and click ‘Disable’.
You probably shouldn’t use Task Manager to close/disable it. Only do so if it’s not responding/will not disable or close. That’s probably what caused your errors.
I don’t have Windows 8 and have no experience with it at all yet but it says it is Windows 8 compatible.
I don’t know where they have their servers located at. I know some are in USA and a couple other countries. I usually go to the site below and enable/disable Spotflux (usually takes 3-5 times) till I see on the map that the server I’m connected to is close to my location. Once I get one close, speeds aren’t bad at all. From my experience, speeds are comparable to CyberGhost VPN whether I’m connected to servers close to me or far away.

Answer #25
I can’t find the program in my dock. I thought I minimized but it disappeared (so did the icon). So I can’t click the button to get to where I want the IP address to be.
